Allison is a highly experienced commercial real estate lawyer who, prior to joining Nexus, was a Senior Associate at a top-tier firm in Sydney. Allison has particular expertise in public and private sector property transactions, property disposals, acquisitions and leasing, property development and finance, joint ventures and partnerships, planning agreements, project structuring and procurement and probity processes.
Allison has acted for a range of clients including the Barangaroo Delivery Authority, Sydney Olympic Park Authority, NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, Housing NSW, NSW Department of Planning, City of Sydney, Sydney Water, EnergyAustralia, St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, Mirvac and Brookfield Multiplex
Main Areas of Practice
Mr Foy has more than 20 years’ experience advising on all aspects of complex real estate projects and transactions. He has extensive experience advising on community title and land subdivisions, the sale and purchase of developed commercial real estate, retail centres, industrial properties and related due diligence.
Mr Foy has a special in interest in real estate projects and retail centres. He has also completed significant work advising clients on industrial, retail and commercial leasing transactions.
His experience working in-house for Australia’s leading retailers has provided him with a commercial approach to advising his clients.
In addition to his private practice experience, Mr. Foy spent more than six years as the senior in house property counsel for Coles Myer Limited. In that role he managed the in-house real estate legal practice and provided advice to the company’s middle management and senior leadership. He has also held various positions at domestic and international firms.
Main Areas of Practice
Frank is an experienced lawyer with particular corporate, commercial and litigation expertise. This includes national and cross-border transactions and disputes in both common law and civil law jurisdictions, building and construction law, corporate insolvency and bankruptcy, contract drafting and contract review.
Frank also provides legal advice on directors and shareholders rights and obligations, corporate acquisitions and sales, franchise agreements and sales, commercial leases and financial instruments.
Frank’s commercial acumen draws heavily from his experience working in Mexico, where he advised medium and large corporations in the trade and banking sectors, as well as the Mexican Foreign Office.
Frank is a Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
