“In comparison to past amendments, NCC 2022 is shaping up to be a major update and, potentially, the most significant amendment yet for housing and residential buildings,” said Nexus National Practice Director – Construction & Infrastructure Ben Robertson, “Industry comment on the proposed amendments is being sought through two separate consultation stages. The first consultation stage seeks industry comment on all the proposed amendments – except energy efficiency and condensation proposals that may arise from project work. The window for this consultation period will end on Friday 2 July 2021. It is worth taking the time to review the proposed amendments, as it is an important opportunity for those in the industry to have their voices heard.”
The second consultation stage, focusing on energy efficiency and condensation project work, will commence on Monday 19 July 2021.
