Nexus a finalist in the Thought Leadership Awards

Posted by Marcus McCarthy | 18 August 2016 | Nexus News

Being part of an innovative NewLaw firm, the Nexus team prides itself on leading the way in this rapidly evolving landscape. Therefore it is a great honour for Nexus Law Group to be named a finalist in the ALPMA Thought Leadership Awards.

These awards shine a light on innovative projects and new initiatives being conducted by firms across the legal sector in response to the changing legal landscape and provide recognition for firms and legal departments who have successfully implemented innovative projects and strategic initiatives in response to the challenges facing the Australasian legal industry.

Nexus was recognised as a finalist for the development of our OpenLaw™ practice system, created to run our firm, as there was no existing practice management system that met our unique requirements. In the last 12 months, we have also been working to bring OpenLaw™ to market generally.

“This system has significant potential to connect independent boutique practices, facilitating unified service delivery and shift a portion of the industry to the Nexus ‘embedded contractor’ style of practice,” Nexus Business Manager, Jacqueline Keddie, said. “This represents truly positive industry disruption and creates an entirely new category of practice for lawyers which allows for better service delivery to clients.”

The winner of the ALPMA / LexisNexis Thought Leadership Awards will be announced at the Summit Gala Dinner, Thursday, 8 September 2016 at Medallion Club at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne.
